2nd Urmston Scouts and Explorers are the first scout group to have built a track car as part of their badge work. This concept was pioneered by Dave Kerrs, who wanted to find a different and innovative way to help youth members achieve goals and skills that they can utilise in life, fulfilling the skills for life ambition of the scout movement. This has been made possible with help from the local Subaru owners clubs and sponsorship from local businesses to help fund the project.
